About Institute for Network Medicine

UC San Diego's Institute for Network Medicine is comprised of outstanding and diverse faculty, students, and staff, and provides a tremendous opportunity for training in labs that foster vibrant transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary research programs, in both engineering and biomedical science.

Prospective applicants are welcome to explore the rich opportunities from x-ray crystallography, cell biology, and biochemistry, to biophysics to systems biology (in Ghosh lab), to computational biology (Boolean lab), to translational medicine where an all-human end-to-end drug discovery pipeline extends from target ID to target validation in human Phase'0' trials on patient-derived organoid models (HUMANOID). Anybody who joins the group is welcome to take advantage of this rich training environment while remaining focused on productivity (papers, fellowships, and career-building that is goal-oriented for industry/academia).

Some of the ongoing research in the Ghosh Lab. Also, check BioRxiv for accepted articles in Press. Dr. Pradipta Ghosh is a physician-scientist with dual training in medicine and basic science. She is also the Center's Director, leading disruptive research in biology, medicine, and engineering.

Dr. Ghosh has a fairly regular LinkedIn Feed announcing discoveries and/or projects on the horizon:
